Mooie ingezonden brief van een oud-cliënt; Tamara van der Laan. Het gaat heel goed met haar:-)
Why are we afraid so much …?
Why are we afraid of being “me”? Is it because our past?
Okay … we are afraid of being ourselves, because we don’t like “me”.
“Me” isn’t good enough, but how would we know?
Have we ever been our true selves?
I’m starting to think we have never been the true “me” as we were supposed to be when we were born.
80% of all choices are based on fear. Most people don’t choose what they want; they choose what they think is safe.
I know that if I had choosen things I wanted in the past, not afraid of the outcome, my life would be completely different as it is today
So what does this say about “me”?
Don’t we just overthink to much, worry to much about “me”?
Maybe everything we’ve been through have made us “me” and we are living being “me” today?!?
But we shouldn’t forget the lessons we’ve learned from the past. I think we get them to bring us closer to the path of being “me” as we were supposed to be. Learning to listen more to our intuition (Higher Power), instead of deciding out of fear. What if that’s our way to true happiness…. I know I’ve never tried it, but I sure gonna try now.
Limits like fear, is often an illusion.
Afraid of the unknown … let’s stay at the familiar side.
Do we really?
Do we actually really know, what domino effect we’ve started to choose for the familiar side?
I don’t think so ….
It doesn’t matter what choices we make … everything in the future is unknown.
So what are we afraid of?
Even though we may want to move forward in our life, we may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn, how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear, Refuse to entertain our old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding us back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?
